SPORTS TRAINERS – SEASON 2022

The Clarence Football Club is seeking to expand our current pool of sports trainers and is calling for applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill roles assisting our men’s, women’s and U18 programs.

Duties include pre-game taping, in-game player management, attending to on-field injuries and managing game exit for injured players as well as assisting with the management of players’ post-game recovery. Minimum requirements for the role include the following accreditations , or the commitment to gain at the earliest opportunity:

– Current first aid certificate;
– Sports Medicine Australia Concussion Management.

It would also be advantageous to hold Sports Medicine Australia Level 1 Sports Trainer and Sports Taping accreditations. If a successful applicant wishes to undertake any of these courses, the club will subsidise the cost.

It is expected that trainers are available for pre-season beginning mid-November as well as being able to travel to away games in-season, including when the team plays in Launceston. In return, the club will provide all equipment, uniforms and travel arrangements to and from Launceston as required.

These are paid positions with remuneration to be discussed at the time of application.
